Nervous System Regulation support that starts in the body
If your system feels stuck in high alert, shutdown, or constant strain, we’ll work with what you notice in real time. We pay attention to the body, not just the story.

What people bring us
People often come in because they feel like their body is always on, or because it’s hard to shift out of stress once it starts. Others notice they crash, numb out, or swing between the two. It can affect sleep, focus, appetite, patience, and the ability to stay connected to the people around them. Many people are looking for a way to understand what their body is doing without feeling blamed by it.
- My body feels like it’s never fully off duty.
- I get overwhelmed and then go blank.
- I don’t know how to calm myself down once I’m activated.
- I’m tired of feeling like I’m always bracing.
We pay attention to your body, your choices, and what feels possible in the room.
How we work with it
We work with nervous system regulation through body awareness, present-moment attention, and choices that stay doable. That might happen in individual therapy, in a trauma-sensitive yoga session, or in a workshop or group where you can learn alongside others. We keep the language plain and stay close to what you actually feel in session, not just what you can explain later. The work may look different for one person than for a couple or a group, depending on what supports the regulation work best.
- Individual Therapy
- In one-on-one sessions, we notice the places where your system speeds up, freezes, or shuts down. We work with those moments directly, at a pace that feels usable.
- Trauma-Sensitive Yoga
- This approach uses interoception and present-moment awareness so you can notice internal signals without pressure. It can help you explore regulation through movement, breath, and choice.
- Drop-In Sessions
- When your system feels out of sorts and you need support today, a drop-in can be a place to sort out what’s happening. It’s a brief, direct way to get support around the moment you’re in.
- Workshops and Groups
- Some people learn regulation more easily when they can practice in a small group with guidance. Workshops can focus on one topic and give structure around what to notice and practice.
What the first sessions look like
In the first sessions, we look at what your body does under stress and what helps, even a little, in the moment. We may talk about patterns, triggers, and what you’ve already tried, but it’s okay to arrive without a clear plan.
Questions people ask
What does nervous system regulation mean in therapy?
It means we pay attention to how your body responds to stress, safety, and connection. We use that information to guide the work instead of staying only in the story.
Do I have to do breathing exercises?
Not necessarily. We use what fits, and we stay with choices that feel workable for you.
Can this be part of trauma therapy too?
Yes. Nervous system regulation is often part of the work when trauma, anxiety, or shutdown are in the picture.
How do I know if this is what I need?
If your body feels hard to settle, hard to read, or hard to trust, this may be relevant. We can talk about what you’re noticing and what kind of support makes sense.
