What we help with

Mindfulness workshops and therapy with room to notice

If you want mindfulness that feels grounded instead of performative, we offer it in a way that stays close to the body and to choice. We use it for people who want more contact with what they’re feeling, not more pressure to do it right.

What people bring us

People often come in because they feel scattered, disconnected, or carried around by their thoughts. Others are looking for a way to slow down and notice what’s happening before they react. Mindfulness can feel useful when someone wants to be more present with their own experience, but doesn’t want it turned into another thing to perform. For some, it’s also a way to notice how stress shows up in the body.

  • I’m always in my head.
  • I want to slow down, but I don’t know how.
  • I can’t tell what I’m feeling until it spills over.
  • I want something practical, not just more advice.

No corrections. No expectations. Just exploration.

How we work with it

We use mindfulness as a way to bring attention to the present moment without turning the work into a performance. That may happen in individual therapy, in a workshop, or alongside trauma-sensitive yoga, depending on what you’re looking for. We keep it concrete and relational, so it connects to your actual day instead of floating off into abstract ideas. Some people want quiet noticing, while others want more guidance and language for what they’re sensing.

Individual Therapy
In one-on-one sessions, we can use mindfulness to slow down a moment and notice what’s happening underneath the surface. It becomes part of the conversation rather than a separate exercise.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga
Mindfulness here includes noticing sensation, movement, and breath without correction. That can help people stay connected to the present moment without pressure.
Workshops and Groups
Mindfulness workshops give people a shared place to practice attention and notice what comes up. We keep the setting clear and small enough for people to feel oriented.

What the first sessions look like

In the first sessions, we talk about what mindfulness means to you and how you want to use it. We’ll look at what feels present, what feels hard to notice, and how much structure or guidance you want.

Questions people ask

Is mindfulness just meditation?

Not here. We use it as a way of paying attention to what’s happening in the present, and that can include body awareness, movement, or simple noticing.

What if mindfulness makes me feel worse or more aware of stress?

That’s something we pay attention to. We move with care and keep the practice connected to what feels manageable for you.

Can I learn mindfulness in a group?

Yes. We offer workshops and groups that can include mindfulness practice with other people.

Do I need experience with mindfulness before starting?

No. We can begin with what feels familiar and build from there.
